My name is Bobby Flores. I'm a Mexican-American artist rooted in Minneapolis. Working across conceptual portraiture, weddings, events, and brand work, my inspiration comes from music I can't stop playing, films that keep me inspired, and paintings I'll always aim to reimagine. All of it feeds into images I hope outlive the moment they were taken. I didn't come up through a photography school or a studio apprenticeship - but through passion, obsession, and dedication.

I picked up a camera in 2020 and I never looked back.

The kind of swept-up feeling you get with a band you can't stop listening to, or a film you can't shake — that's what photography did for me. I shoot primarily on film, processing and scanning every roll myself, because film forces intentionality. Every frame costs something. That constraint makes me better.

My approach starts long before a shoot does. I sketch, build moodboards, choose film stocks for specific looks and moods, and think through every element I can control — so that when I'm behind the lens, I can let all of that go and just be present. The world melts away behind my lens. That's when the real work happens.

The name VTN Photo grew out of "Vibe the Noun" — an inside joke from my time in the Minneapolis punk scene. It stuck because it means something: bring energy to everything, make the abstract tangible, find the vibe in whatever's in front of you.

If you want photos that feel like something — let's talk.
