Bobby Flores

My name is Bobby Flores. I'm a Mexican-American artist rooted in Minneapolis. Working across weddings, events, portraits, and conceptual work, my inspiration comes from music I can't stop playing, films that keep me inspired, and paintings I'll always aim to reimagine. All of it feeds into images I hope outlive the moment they were taken. I didn't come up through a photography school or a studio apprenticeship - but through passion, obsession, and dedication.

The kind of swept-up feeling you get with a band you can't stop listening to, or a film you can't shake — that's what photography did for me. I shoot with intention. Every frame costs something — attention, presence, care. Treating each image like it matters is what separates a photograph you scroll past from one you keep.

My approach starts long before a shoot does. I sketch, build moodboards, scout light and locations, and think through every element I can control, so that when I'm behind the lens, I can let all of that go and just be present. The world melts away behind my lens. That's when the real work happens.
